This is my favorite bbq place in Roc and I'm sad to see it go! I'm a big fan of alternative garbage plates, and in my opinion, the BBQ Sticky Icky plate is the best garbage plate around. Sticky lips also has great brisket, ribs, and other barbecue. I also enjoy their selection of locally made sodas. Their decor is so unique, there's really nothing like it. It's very retro, with the walls pretty covered in things like music posters and vintage coca-cola esque decor. They also have a huge chandelier. It's a really unique place, and I highly recommend eating there before they close!
I will start this, as I always do by saying that I do not give out five stars, unless I am really blown away. I love barbecue! Therefore I love this place. I've been here a couple of times now and every time I've been impressed. This is really 4 1/2 stars for me but as we all know we can't give out half stars. The ambience is awesome. There's a lot of memorabilia on the walls. The men's bathroom is especially cool as there are old magazines hanging on the wall, but the real star of the show is the food. Everything I've eaten has been top-notch. this time I got some grilled drumsticks which were delicious as well as a Cajun chicken salad also delicious. I will be coming back as frequently as possible. If you are in the area and have not stopped into sticky lips yet. what are you waiting for? I hope to see you there.
We have gotten catering from here for Thanksgiving and Christmas a few times now. We have a unique situation because we have a very small family, and 2 are vegetarian, so the traditional Thanksgiving turkey doesn't work. My husband got turkey and brisket from here. He loved the brisket! He just got it again for this Thanksgiving. We've also done several of the sides. Mac and cheese, macaroni salad that I can remember, and the deviled eggs. Love the deviled eggs! It's very easy to pick up, and you pre-order it and pay when you pick it up. I recommend it!
First time Sticky Lips customer. The food was great. My Carolina Clipper sandwich with mustard slaw was delicious and I ate every bite of the cajun corn I got as a side. The extensive drink menu is a boon especially for beer enthusiasts. Service was friendly but, on this Saturday afternoon, VERY slow. Overall I'd still go again and hopefully try one of their many pies for dessert.
